Role Overview
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Health Care Support Worker (Band 3) to join our dedicated stroke/neuro team.
In this role you will support patients through their recovery, assist with personal care, goal planning and clinical observations. You’ll work closely with nurses and therapists to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care and promote independence after stroke.
Responsibilities
* Provide personal care and support for stroke patients.
* Assist with goal planning and facilitate daily activities.
* Record clinical observations and support assessment teams.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including nurses and therapists.
Qualifications
* Previous care experience, ideally with stroke or neurological patients.
* Excellent communication skills and an ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme prior to appointment.
* Right to work in the United Kingdom.
Additional Information
The post is compliant with the Agenda for Change working week changes: 36 hours per week from 1 April 2026, with a corresponding hourly rate increase to offset the change. Part‑time hours will be pro‑rated.
