About the role
As a Children & Young People’s Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting young people within residential settings and the community. Working with at least a 2:1 staffing ratio, you’ll be ensuring safety, stability, and quality care always.
You'll be
* Building positive, trusting relationships with young people.
* Supporting daily routines (from school runs and appointments to bedtimes and activities).
* Encouraging independence and personal development.
* Keeping accurate daily records (emotions, routines, activities, food diaries, and more).
* Helping manage money responsibly and keeping receipts.
* Identifying and reporting any safeguarding concerns.
* Supporting with personal care and household tasks when needed.
* Handling behaviour that challenges with patience, resilience, and confidence.
What we're looking for
* A caring, professional, and non‑judgemental attitude
* Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
* Emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
* Good attention to detail when writing notes and reports
* Experience in social care or similar roles (advantageous but not essential)
* Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification (preferred)
* A valid DBS (we can help you apply)
* A driver’s licence is a bonus as locations vary
