The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacture of complex carbon fibre reinforced plastic structures such as the chassis, gearbox carrier, wings, and engine components. In this role, you will lead the engineering activities within manufacture and support the development of manufacturing methods and processes, along with problem solving; run root cause analysis to troubleshoot cleanroom manufacturing issues, and process improvements.
Your Role:
* Manufacture of complex carbon fibre reinforced plastic structures such as the chassis, gearbox carrier, wings, and engine components.
* Problem Solving; run root cause analysis to troubleshoot cleanroom manufacturing issues, process improvements.
* Backend supply work, supplying templates for manufacturing to the laminating team.
* Small/Larges scale projects including how to improve manufacturing, cut costs, sustainability.
* Leading technical capability projects in line with the development of our manufacturing strategy.
* Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the developments within the composite industry and identify technology, equipment, processes that could increase the capability of the team.
Ideal candidates will have the following:
* A recent background in a Composite Engineering Manufacturing role - we can consider candidates at an early stage in their career.
* Understanding of RCCA principles including practical problem solving, six sigma, continuous improvement and other manufacturing engineering responsibilities.
* Ability to use 3DX, CATIA V5 or similar CAD package for the interrogation of models.
* Experience in the F1 industry or Aerospace is highly advantageous.
