Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sous Chef or Head Chef to lead our culinary team. This pivotal role involves overseeing food preparation, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for culinary excellence. Duties

* ensure efficient operation and high-quality food production.
* Oversee all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and service to meet the establishment's standards.
* Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with food safety regulations.
* Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, catering to diverse customer preferences.
* Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive team environment centred on professional development.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation at all times within the kitchen environment.
* Monitor food costs and optimise utilisation of ingredients without compromising quality.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Experience

* Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally in a similar hospitality setting.
* Extensive background in food production, culinary arts, and restaurant operations.
* Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
* Experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu development.
* Previous hospitality experience including serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
* Leadership qualities combined with excellent organisational skills to oversee daily kitchen functions effectively. This role is ideal for a passionate culinary professional eager to lead by example while delivering outstanding dining experiences.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
