Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sous Chef or Head Chef to lead our culinary team. Duties
* ensure efficient operation and high-quality food production.
* Oversee all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and service to meet the establishment's standards.
* Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with food safety regulations.
* Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, catering to diverse customer preferences.
* Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a positive team environment centred on professional development.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation at all times within the kitchen environment.
* Monitor food costs and optimise utilisation of ingredients without compromising quality.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Experience
* Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally in a similar hospitality setting.
* Extensive background in food production, culinary arts, and restaurant operations.
* Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
* Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
* Experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and menu development.
* Previous hospitality experience including serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
