The Role
You will manage a caseload of housing disrepair claims, assisting clients through all stages of the pre-action protocol and litigation process. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal services while ensuring compliance with procedural requirements and client care standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing a caseload of housing disrepair files under supervision
* Drafting letters of claim and other pre-action protocol documentation
* Instructing experts and reviewing medical and surveyor reports
* Preparing court documents and bundles
* Liaising with clients, landlords, experts, and counsel
* Negotiating settlements where appropriate
* Ensuring compliance with relevant housing and litigation procedures
Requirements
* Previous experience handling housing disrepair claims (essential)
* Strong knowledge of the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Conditions Claims
* Excellent drafting and communication skills
* Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
