Interim Senior Employee Relations Specialist Location: Onsite – Near Birmingham Duration: 3 Months IR35 Status: Outside IR35 Rate: 550 We are working with a valued client to recruit an experienced Interim Employee Relations Specialist for a 3-month assignment. This is a hands-on, onsite role based near Birmingham, and is offered on a daily rate basis outside IR35. Key Responsibilities Provide expert advice and guidance on complex employee relations issues including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, and absence management. Coach and support line managers to handle ER matters confidently and in line with company policy and UK employment law. Manage multiple ER cases concurrently, ensuring timely resolution and mitigating risk to the business. Collaborate with HR colleagues and legal advisors where necessary to manage sensitive and high-risk cases. Support with any organisational change activity such as restructures or TUPE where required. Maintain accurate case records and contribute to trend analysis and reporting. Help embed best practice and consistent ER processes across the organisation. Candidate Profile Proven experience in a similar senior-level ER role, ideally within complex, fast-paced environments. Strong understanding of UK employment law and its practical application. Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills. Able to work autonomously, use sound judgement, and provide pragmatic solutions. Comfortable being fully onsite and quickly building rapport with managers and teams.
