The closing date is 03 September 2025

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Neonatal Operational Delivery Network for a Lead Practice Educator to join us on a 12-month fixed term / secondment to support the delivery of education across the East of England. This role will involve working closely with and travelling to the 17 neonatal units across the region to support and deliver education to the neonatal workforce.

The ODN has an extensive education portfolio that is delivered using a 'blended approach' of both face-to-face teaching and virtual learning. We currently provide educational opportunities for non-registered staff, AHPPs, nursing and medical colleagues across the region. As Lead Practice Educator it will be the post holders' responsibility to support the Senior Lead PDN to continue driving this agenda, which will include organising and planning the delivery of these events as well as supporting other ODN colleagues with their educational events. There is a need to be flexible in the delivery of education opportunities in response to regional needs at that time.

Main duties of the job

The role will require the successful candidate to support the neonatal units across the region with in-houseOSCE preparation and simulations, in particularly focusing their attention on nurses currently undertakingtheir QIS qualification.

The post holder will need to hold a full driving licence as accessing all units is essential; they will need excellent communication skills and be able to support education across many different settings. TheNeonatal ODN is currently Hosted by Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, however as ateam we work remotely.
