The Role:
Our client is expanding its Strategy & Advisory practice and seeking a Strategic Pre-Sales Consultant. As a trusted advisor, you will shape solutions, craft bids and Statements of Work, and design offerings that integrate VMware Cloud Foundation, AWS EVS, Omnissa Horizon, and Microsoft Azure/Entra. Working with sales, marketing, and delivery teams, youll translate complex architectures into clear business outcomes, influence C-level stakeholders, and guide clients from discovery through contract signature. The role combines technical expertise, commercial insight, and strong communication. Youll stay ahead of VMware and hyperscale advancements, mentor colleagues, and evolve propositions. Reporting to the CTO, you will help enterprises modernise securely and unlock value from private and public cloud investments.
Skills and Attributes
Track record of delivering VMware centric designs spanning VCF, vSphere, vSAN, NSX and automation tools
Exposure to AWS, Microsoft Azure and Omnissa Horizon in hybrid cloud and EUC contexts
Certifications such as VCF Specialist, VCAP/VCDX, AWS SAA/Professional or Azure-305 are highly valued
Commercially astute, with the ability to build persuasive bids, SoWs and pricing models
Strong communication skills to clearly articulate complex ideas from engineers to C-suite
Continually learning, staying curious and sharing fresh cloud insights
Key responsibilities
The position demands deep technical competence, especially around VMware VCF, plus the ability to translate technology into business outcomes and learn fast.
Requirement analysis: Engage stakeholders to capture functional and non-functional needs across enterprise landscapes
Strategy & roadmap: Craft VCF-led hybrid-cloud and EUC roadmaps that align with business objectives and industry maturity models
Proposals & bids: Construct compelling bids, SoWs, and presentations that position VCF, AWS, Horizon, and Azure as an integrated solution stack
Commercial leadership: Produce detailed SoWs and pricing models that underpin contractual engagements
Technical ownership: Lead and coordinate opportunities from technical qualification through seamless hand-off to delivery teams, acting as the key VCF technical authority
Research & development: Stay ahead of VMware releases, AWS / Azure innovation, and Omnissa EUC advances to keep our clients portfolio cutting-edge
Presentation & collateral: Create engaging collateral architecture diagrams, TCO models, success stories in conjunction with Marketing for go-to-market execution
Required Experience:
5+ years in pre-sales consulting / solution architecture
Excellent written and verbal communication; able to articulate complex technical concepts to C-level and technical audiences alike
Passionate about cloud and digital-workspace innovation, with a proven ability to learn rapidly and share insights
Exposure to FinOps, security, and compliance in multi-cloud environments
Experience with ITIL or agile delivery methodologies preferred
