We are recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established social housing provider in Peterborough. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will manage costs and contracts across planned maintenance, capital works and responsive repairs programmes, ensuring strong financial control and value for money. What’s on offer:
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 per annum (DOE)
Working pattern: Full-time, flexible hybrid working

Quantity Surveyor key responsibilities include:
Managing budgets across planned and cyclical works programmes
Preparing estimates, cost plans and tender documentation
Procuring and managing contractors in line with public sector regulations
Administering JCT/NEC contracts
Managing variations, valuations and final accounts
Producing financial reports and supporting investment planning
Ensuring compliance with governance and financial controlsProjects will include kitchen and bathroom programmes, roofing works, fire safety upgrades, retrofit/decarbonisation schemes, void refurbishments and responsive maintenance contracts.
You will bring strong commercial awareness, confident negotiation skills and experience working within social housing or the public sector.
The successful Quantity Surveyor will have:
A qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
Experience managing contractors and budgets
Knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts
Strong stakeholder engagement skills
