Procurement Buyer
Location: Fareham, Hampshire
Salary: £25,000–£30,000 (DOE) + Benefits
About the Role:

Our client, a trusted name in defence and engineering solutions, is seeking a proactive and organised Procurement Buyer to support their Sales & Operations Manager in delivering efficient procurement services. The Ideal Candidate:
Experience:
* Minimum 2 years’ buying/procurement experience
* Familiarity with MRP systems (OrderWise experience a plus)
* Experience in supplier negotiation and invoice processing
Skills:
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
* Proficient in MS Office
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Qualifications:
* CIPS Level 2 (or working towards)
* GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics
Key Responsibilities:
* Raise and process RFQs/RFIs and purchase orders
* Negotiate pricing and ensure financial authority compliance
* Update MRP system with compliance and safety data
* Perform first-level invoice checks against POs
* Manage supplier relationships and chase late deliveries
* Maintain approved supplier lists and compliance documentation
* Liaise with internal teams including sales administration
* Answer and direct customer calls professionally
