Overview
We are recruiting a Security Officer to deliver a professional and reliable service at a well‑established organisation. The role protects employees, visitors, and site assets by following assignment instructions and maintaining the highest standards of integrity, vigilance and helpfulness. The successful candidate will help ensure safe and secure day‑to‑day operations of a busy site environment.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
* Preventing and deterring unauthorised access to the site; monitoring fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate
* Conducting external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
* Carrying out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate
* Managing keys and performing locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
* Maintaining all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions
* Issuing visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions
* Providing support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who:
* Has a valid SIA licence
* Has a driving licence
* Is punctual and reliable
* Has great customer service skills
* Has the right to work in the UK, with a 5‑year checkable history
* Possesses strong communication skills in English – both written and spoken
