We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Special Educational Needs Lecturer to deliver high-quality, inclusive teaching to learners with diverse needs.
This role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting learners' development in core skills, and working collaboratively with support staff to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
Salary: £28.62 - £37.08 per hour
Hours per week: Various
Weeks per Annum: 38 (term time only)
Working pattern: Various
Location: Witney Campus
Contract type: Fixed term until September 2026
Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons tailored to learners with special educational needs.
* Create and adapt learning resources to support diverse needs and promote independent learning.
* Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
* Support learners in developing English, Maths, and functional skills.
* Collaborate with support staff and colleagues to ensure effective delivery.
* Promote equality, diversity, and personalised learning through tutorials and guidance.
Essential Experience:
* Proven experience teaching or supporting learners with special educational needs.
* Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiated instruction.
* Ability to assess learner progress and provide meaningful feedback.
* Experience in planning and delivering lessons that support functional skills development.
* Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and safeguarding.
Desirable Experience:
* Experience working within a further education setting.
* Familiarity with college systems for course and learner management.
* Knowledge of current SEN legislation and best practices.
* Experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams (e.g., LSAs, therapists, external agencies).
* Qualification in SEN or additional learning support.
