Randstad Student Support is recruiting for Specialist:one:to:one Study Skills Support Workers to assist students with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) at Universities and Colleges in Preston.
This role begins at the start of the new academic year (from 1st September 2025) and is fully hybrid. Candidates must be able to travel to the university or college and provide both in-person and online support sessions flexibly to accommodate student preferences.
As a Specialist:one:to:one Study Skills Support Worker, you will offer tailored learning support and academic guidance, developing individual learning plans that promote independence.
You will support students to:
* Develop independence
* Enhance strengths and learning strategies
* Organize time effectively
* Create action plans to stay on track
* Improve research skills using diverse sources
* Identify appropriate sources and referencing
* Build comprehension in reading and writing

Requirements for the Role
Applicants must hold membership with one of the following professional bodies, as all students supported are funded by the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA), requiring adherence to the DfE qualification framework:
* British Dyslexia Association (BDA)
* Professional Membership of The Association of Dyslexia (ADSHE)
* Dyslexia Guild
* The Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS)
