Job Description
As part of the AECOM Advisory Services business unit, the Strategic Procurement team works to develop and execute procurement strategies that ensure successful project outcomes. The role focuses on providing high‑quality procurement advice, managing the procurement lifecycle, and shaping AECOM’s overall procurement service offering.
Responsibilities
* Provide high‑quality procurement advice and support to AECOM’s infrastructure clients on flagship projects.
* Lead and support sector‑leading projects and programmes as the strategic procurement subject matter expert.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of service offering and drive future development.
* Collaborate with colleagues to deliver quality outcomes and high‑value multi‑discipline solutions.
* Manage competitive procurement processes including market engagement, supplier shortlisting, tender development, evaluation, and negotiation.
* Provide commercial advice, category management, and performance management support.
* Support work‑winning activities and proposal documentation.
* Support the development of AECOM’s strategic procurement service offering.
Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience leading procurement of complex construction and infrastructure projects.
* Experience managing the procurement lifecycle from sourcing to contract management and supplier engagement.
* Proven project and programme management experience with ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
* Aware of standard form contracts including NEC.
* Strong people skills, effective communicator, ability to influence and establish trusted advisor status.
* Experience in category management and contract management, advising on SLAs and KPIs.
* Knowledge of procurement under Public Contract Regulations or equivalent.
* Passionate about individual, team, and client success.
