Humanities Teacher (QTS) – Northamptonshire | September Start

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher with QTS to join a supportive secondary school in Northamptonshire from September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented educator who can engage students across the Humanities curriculum, helping them develop critical thinking skills, cultural awareness, and a deeper understanding of the world around them. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher (ECT), we would love to hear from you.

The Role

As a Humanities Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and inspiring Humanities lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Teach subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies, depending on your specialism and the school's requirements.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment that promotes curiosity and academic achievement.
  • Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing effective feedback to support development.
  • Encourage students to think critically about historical events, geographical issues, and global perspectives.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour, achievement, and safeguarding.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Humanities subjects within a secondary school setting.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • A passion for inspiring young people and promoting a love of learning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and supporting the wellbeing of all students.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Two professional references covering the past two years.
