Overview
We are looking for candidates that can manage day to day operational control of contracts within the UK, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, cost control, performance to programme and customer service.
Candidates will maintain commercial awareness ensuring the Company is not exposed financially and to achievement of full margins from operational activities. They will manage contracts so that they perform in line with budget and maintain a motivated, effective and safety conscious workforce. They will ensure good client relations and that the clients requirements are met, to maximise opportunity for repeat business.
Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day operational control of contracts within the UK, focusing on safety, quality, productivity, cost control, performance to programme and customer service.
* Maintain commercial awareness to ensure the Company is not exposed financially and to achievement of full margins from operational activities.
* Manage contracts so that they perform in line with budget and maintain a motivated, effective and safety-conscious workforce.
* Ensure good client relations and that client requirements are met, to maximise opportunity for repeat business.
Qualifications
* Qualified with experience within the geotechnical industry, with a solid understanding of ground conditions, drilling and site investigation works.
* Good understanding of geotechnical processes and contract management with an excellent understanding of written English and a good understanding of letter writing.
* Good customer-service focus and a professional approach, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to liaise with clients and members of the regional team.
* Full UK Driving License.

Our experience over 60 years of business allows us to undertake both land and nearshore marine investigations, works in secure or high risk environments, and a wide range of difficult and restricted access projects.
Supporting our Ground Investigation business, we maintain one of the country's largest single site Geotechnical Laboratories, UKAS accredited for over 40 test disciplines, which undertakes testing for internal and external projects. The laboratory also maintains our In-Situ testing capability, including CBR and Plate Bearing tests.
