Role Overview
We are recruiting for an Account Manager who is an exceptional and driven media planner to join our Connections Planning team.
You will work on the Ford account in the UK – the biggest auto advertiser and one of the largest accounts at Mindshare. Our 'full service' model involves close collaboration with creative and account management teams within Ford’s agency structure, primarily working with VMLY&R.
Mindshare and Ford embrace agile, collaborative working, making us an extension of Ford’s marketing team. We operate across three locations: 2 days (Mon-Tue) at Ford’s Dunton office (short taxi from Shenfield, travel costs covered), 1 day (Wed) at VML Sea Containers House, and 1 day (Thu) at Mindshare Rose Court.
About the role
Your daily activities will include planning innovative, award-winning campaigns, collaborating with channel specialists, defining audience and connections strategies, managing plans and budgets, and supporting creative delivery.
* Focus on driving sales with an emphasis on campaign performance, ensuring plans deliver as intended.
* Build and target audiences in addressable and non-addressable media, validating approaches for reach at scale.
* Design strategies for connecting with audiences across media channels.
* Support the team in designing the connections ecosystem and plan, working closely with channel specialists.
* Manage campaigns daily as a key liaison between clients and channel specialists.
* Design measurement and testing frameworks to optimize campaigns.
About you
* Understanding of media channels, especially online, and their roles within a communication strategy.
* Interest in both brand and performance campaigns.
* Proficiency with audience research and planning tools (e.g., TGI & Touchpoints); familiarity with media owner tools is a plus.
* Ability to derive insights and implications for media strategies.
* Responsibility for preparing clear, concise briefs for specialist teams.
* Confidence in presenting with passion and conviction.
* Team-oriented mindset, collaborative, inclusive, and proactive in knowledge development.
* Excellent attention to detail, organization, and deadline management.
