This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of SEMH needs and experience supporting pupils who may present with challenging behaviour, emotional regulation difficulties, or trauma-related needs. The Role: Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs Supporting emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and engagement with learning Building consistent, trusting relationships with pupils Supporting behaviour management strategies and individual support plans Working closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals Creating a calm, safe, and supportive learning environment The Ideal Candidate: Has excellent understanding of SEMH and its impact on learning and behaviour Has experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, SEND, or additional needs Is calm, patient, and able to de-escalate challenging situations effectively Is resilient, reliable, and emotionally intelligent Has strong communication and teamwork skills Desirable (not essential): Experience in alternative provision, PRU, or specialist settings Training in trauma-informed practice, behaviour management, or mental health support Why Work with Tradewind?
