Role Purpose The Data Junior Partner is a foundational role within our data team, responsible for supporting the team by handling essential data tasks that ensure the accuracy and reliability of our client reporting and analytics. This role is pivotal in maintaining our data visualisation platforms, preparing and cleaning data for analysis, and ensuring the smooth operation of our data pipelines, providing a critical foundation for the agency's data-driven solutions. This is a key support role that works closely with senior team members, offering a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop core data skills. Role Responsibilities Act as the first line of support for the data team, triaging incoming requests and issues related to reporting dashboards and data quality. Maintain and troubleshoot our existing Looker Studio dashboards, performing routine updates, fixing data connection issues, and escalating complex problems. Use SQL to perform essential data cleaning, preparation, and transformation to ensure data quality and integrity for reporting and analysis. Support the operation of data pipelines that extract information from marketing platform APIs, assisting with troubleshooting where necessary. Act as a key contributor to data quality assurance, proactively identifying and flagging anomalies in datasets and errors in data pipelines. Provide hands-on support to senior data team members across a variety of client projects and internal initiatives. Adhere to team best practices for data governance, documentation, and workflow management. Your KPIs / Outputs Consistently high levels of data accuracy in all prepared datasets. Timely resolution of Looker Studio maintenance tickets and data requests within agreed SLAs. Positive feedback from senior team members on the quality and timeliness of support provided. Successful completion of assigned training modules in SQL and data visualisation. Role Details Reports to: Data Partner Location: Manchester & Hybrid Hours / Days: 37.5 hours, over 5 days per week. Skills & Experience required: Must Have: A degree in a technical or numerical field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience. Strong problem-solving skills with exceptionally high attention to detail. Proficiency with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel. Desirable: Proficiency in SQL for data querying, joining, and cleaning. Prior experience with Looker Studio or other data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Basic knowledge of Python for data manipulation. An interest in digital marketing and advertising.
