The role
The Profit Protection Coordinator is responsible for protecting company assets by remotely monitoring operational compliance, analysing data for fraudulent activity, and managing incident reporting.
This role will be the key link between retail stores and head office ensuring communications with stores are efficient, timely and drive the agenda of the profit protection department and wider brand. This role involves a weekly routine of data mining, financial audits, to minimise stock loss and ensure adherence to company procedures.
About the team
Our Profit Protection Team is based in our iconic East London Studios (ELS). This is where our head office teams collaborate to drive global governance and protect company assets. Reporting to the Profit Protection Manager, this role serves as the key link between our retail stores and head office. You will work in a fast-paced, London-based hub, transitioning our strategy from reactive field-work to a proactive, weekly routine of data mining and remote compliance audits across the UK/EU and North American markets.
What you’ll be doing (key responsibilities)
1. profit protection & data analysis
* Data Mining: Conduct daily Global data mining from generated reports to identify suspicious transactions, high-risk trends, and internal theft indicators across NA and UK/EU markets and refer them to the Profit Protection lead for the identified territory.
* Variance Control: Monitor and record Till Variances and Banking Variances. Utilise internal reports and collaborate with store teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure cash handling procedures are followed, where concern is found raises concerns to the Profit Protection lead for the identified territory.
* Stock Loss Control: Review Delivery & Transfer Discrepancies to identify potential gaps in training and support for retail teams.
2. operational compliance & auditing
* Compliance Reviews: Perform regular compliance reviews and follow-ups. Track store adherence to operational standards and follow up with virtual training support where necessary, support the wider profit protection team with compliance reporting.
* Petty Cash Audits: Review and validate Petty Cash reporting daily for stores, ensuring all expenditures are documented and within policy.
* Press: Validate daily press usage and spending
* PPCR (Profit Protection Compliance Reviews): Conduct remote Profit Protection Compliance Reviews to audit compliance and operational execution ensuring best in class standards in line with the profit protection department goals and wider brand objectives.
* Incident Reporting: Manage the end-to-end process for security incident reports. Ensure all security incidents are logged correctly and follow up with stores to ensure accurate recording, responsible for effective internal escalations and support.
* CCTV: Request and gather CCTV footage for investigations and police reporting in adherence with regional laws and legislation.
4. stakeholder communication
* Team Collaboration: working alongside the wider Profit protection team and retail operations teams to make it easier for our retail teams to be safe and secure.
* Store Support: Provide front line support to stores regarding Profit Protection enquires and general compliance queries.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS)
* Strong analytical skills
* Preferable, but not essential experience in Data Mining and retail systems.
* Natural curiosity, with a highly organised mindset.
* Strong working knowledge of Google Sheets/Excel and formulas.
* Experience in working with retail teams in a leadership role.
* Knowledge of best in class Store Operations, cash handling, and inventory control.
* Strong communication skills for liaising with store retail and head office colleagues across NA/UK/EU
* Ability to manage workflows across multiple time zones (NA & UK/EU).
* The ability to Utilise AI to improve ways of working.
* The role requires flexibility to be available to deliver the profit protection goals.
