Lead Class 1 Driver – DHL Supply Chain
Pay: £39,000 to £40,000 (depending on experience)

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Any five from seven, starting at 6am (48-hour week)
Location: Unit 2 Segro Park, Maynard Road, Kettering, Northamptonshire, NN15 5ZS

We’re looking for a Lead Class 1 HGV Driver to play a key role in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time.
A typical day may involve:
* Driving in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
* Complying with health and safety standards at all times, adhering to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
* Curtain side pickup and may include flatbed trailer work
* Onsite from 6am to prepare drivers for delivery
* Deputising for the First Line Manager until they arrive (8:00–8:30)
* Potentially providing office cover in the FLM’s absence (e.g., annual leave)
Who this role would suit:
* Hold a valid HGV Class 1 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC Qualification, and Digital Tachograph Card
* Ideally have 12 months of recent driving experience
* Experience in a transport office
* Experience as a Transport Controller or Supervisor
