V&C Associates are super excited to be working with on the UK's fastest growing performance brands, worldwide recognised as one of the leaders in technical fabrics and style. Due to expansion, the brand is looking to appoint a Merchandiser to join their team focusing on producing analysis, delivering commercial and cohesive ranges, trading the stock and maximising sales potential – reporting to the Trading Director. This is an autonomous position responsible for a turnover of £15 million at retail. Planning: Responsibility for planning across a multi-channel business, with the support of the Trading Director. To plan across different product categories, working to parameters signed off, focusing on profit and risk to the business. Create and manage buying bibles for seasonal buys, reforecasting during wholesale selling season to ensure enough stock is booked to cover forecasts, sales orders and in season trading opportunities. Working to OTB budgets. Completion of buys for drop ship customers. In conjunction with the Supply Chain team complete company buys from forecasts and submit proposed buys to Trading Director for sign off. Work closely with the supply chain team, providing details of buys by factory, along with sizing. Liaise with supply chain team to ensure product availability in line with merchandising plans to meet launch dates for the business. Produce end of season selling analysis, identifying trends and provide insights back to the business for future product development direction. Trading: Prepare and share with the business weekly trade pack which includes drop ship and wholesale key account trading and propose in season actions. Manage & propose promotional activity for drop ship accounts. Monitor monthly sales forecasts versus actual sales highlighting over and under achievements and suggest actions to be taken to manage stock levels. Support multi-channel trading teams to ensure monthly KPI’s are achieved, with regular reviews of delivery schedules. Oversee the forecasting of never out of stock styles to maximise sales. Ensure all global price lists are generated and maintained to ensure correct prices (wholesale & rrp) within the system. Work closely with other areas of the business i.e., Product Development, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Marketing, Sales Team. Manage day to day queries/problems that arise within the department.
