Shape Decisions. Influence Outcomes. Drive Growth.
A well-established and fast-growing UK commercial finance brokerage is expanding its Credit Placement Team. With deep lender relationships, an excellent market reputation, and a clear ambition to become a genuine one-stop shop for commercial finance, this is an exciting time to join the business.
If you enjoy making commercially intelligent credit decisions, negotiating with lenders, and improving deal quality and acceptance rates, this role offers real impact and visibility.
The Opportunity
As a Credit Placement Analyst, you'll sit at the heart of the deal process — turning packaged proposals into successful completions.
You'll focus on what truly adds value:
Smart credit assessment
Strategic lender selection
Negotiation and positioning
Improving approval rates
With administrative support in place, your time will be spent where your judgement matters most.
What You'll Be Doing
Assess and sense-check packaged financial proposals for structure, affordability and credit strength
Select the most appropriate lender based on appetite, policy, pricing and approval probability
Refine and reposition deals to maximise acceptance and commercial outcomes
Liaise directly with lenders to present cases, resolve queries, challenge decisions and negotiate terms
Balance deal flow across the lender panel to protect long-term relationships and pricing
Provide constructive feedback to sales teams to improve deal quality
Maintain accurate CRM and credit system records (with lower-value admin delegated appropriately)
Support internal communication of lender programmes and credit policy updates
What We're Looking For
Essential
Experience in credit placement, underwriting or credit analysis within asset finance, commercial lending, unsecured business lending or similar
Confidence making balanced, well-reasoned decisions under pressure
Strong commercial judgement with the ability to challenge constructively
Excellent attention to detail and disciplined system usage
Desirable
Ability to interpret financial accounts, management information, forecasts and bank statements
Strong Excel and data handling skills
Pragmatic and organised — focused on high-value decision-making
Relationship-driven with a strong sense of reputation and service
