Head of Biology
An 'Outstanding' graded comprehensive school and sixth form in Hackney are seeking a Head of Biology to lead and inspire the hardworking biology department for a September 2026 start. This is a permanent, full‑time contract, paid on the Inner London Scale + TLR.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the biology department.
* Inspire and motivate the younger generation.
* Collaborate with other biology teachers to maintain best practice.
Qualifications (Person Specification)
* UK QTS or in the process of gaining.
* Strong academic background (degree, A Levels, GCSEs).
* Meeting the Eight Teaching Standards at 'Good' or 'Outstanding' level.
* Biology teaching experience with the ability to lead from the front using best practice.
* Willing to listen to feedback.
