Honiton Primary School are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working and dedicated individual to join our school. Getting the right person, or people, for this role is very important to us - we would therefore welcome applications from individuals who would like to work and make a real difference to children's lives.
This role involves supporting and covering various classes across the school, as needed, to release teachers or limit the impact of illness. Flexibility is essential to this role, as plans can change at a drop of a hat! Our ideal candidate would have experience of managing behaviours from Nursery to Year 6. Above all, you need to be able to build a warm and positive relationship with the children, so that they can feel safe and secure in school. A range of other sensible duties may be asked at the discretion of the Headteacher or Deputy; such as booster groups etc if not needed for cover.
A willingness to work as part of a team, as well as taking your own initiative when required, is essential. Experience of working within a school in a similar role would be extremely beneficial, as is particular experience of teaching at various key stages.
The hours are - (including 55 minutes lunch break) over 3 days, with PPA included.
We would like the successful candidate to start 4 September 2025.
