About The Job
The Risk Officer performs risk and internal control-related procedures for the Operating Entity. Due to the critical role of these entities and associated risks, the Risk Officer is dedicated full-time to risk management.
Interpersonal and communication skills are essential to effectively translate complex IT, risk, and security issues into understandable terms for both technical and non-technical audiences. This highly collaborative role offers an excellent platform for networking and career advancement while contributing to a safer organizational environment.
What You Do
1. Perform local independent risk oversight, acting as part of the 2nd Line of Defense; manage risk management lifecycles (NFRM, ERM, SoG) and ensure compliance with Allianz Technology Risk Framework.
2. Build and maintain relationships with local Allianz Technology UK colleagues and safeguard functions; participate in meetings with the Regional Risk Officer and collaborate with stakeholders.
3. Implement the Risk Policy Framework (Risk Policy, Risk Strategy, NFRM policy) and Control Assurance Report; ensure timely and quality risk reporting to stakeholders.
4. Coordinate the assessment of Top & Emerging Risks; support IT RM - ARA coverage oversight, maintaining strong interaction with Local ISO.
5. Collaborate with safeguarding functions such as Data Privacy, Information Security, TPRM, Protection & Resilience, Compliance, and Legal to have a coordinated view on risks and support risk assessments for controls and mitigation plans.
6. Conduct project risk assessments and decisions using relevant tools; update RM tools (ServiceNow and ORGS) and maintain the MS Teams Repository.
7. Support the delivery of the Control Assurance Report and audit reports; manage risk awareness sessions and NFRM Testing Plans, coordinating with Internal and External Audit and Compliance teams.
What You Bring
1. Understanding of risk categories: operational, IT, project, third-party, and business risks.
2. Knowledge of local regulations and standards like COBIT 2019, COSO, and ISAE/SOC reports.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of ORGS and ServiceNow is a plus.
4. Fluency in English (oral and written).
5. Ability to work within an international, global team.
6. Degree holder with at least 3+ years of experience in Enterprise/Operational/IT Risk Management.
7. Relevant certifications such as CRiSC, CISA, ISO 31000, COBIT 2019, ISO27001.
