Position Overview
We are seeking a Lead Clinician to manage our in‑house clinical team at New Barn School, a specialist day school for children and young people aged 6‑19.

Salary & Hours
£50,000 – £60,000 (DOE) – 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Contract
Permanent – 52 weeks.
Essential Criteria
* Degree or Doctorate in Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychotherapy or Psychology.
* Valid and up‑to‑date professional registration and membership of the relevant professional body (e.g. BPS).
* Experience working with autistic individuals and/or other clients with complex needs.
* Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities.
* Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team.
* Ability to work independently and dynamically within a growing clinical service.
* Experience of multi‑professional work with teams or services within the designated specialty (preferred).
* Full UK valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the onsite clinical team and hold a therapy caseload.
* Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with complex presentations including autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
* Work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead to embed OHCP plans and support system‑based service development.
* Coordinate line management of clinical team members and lead the development of the school‑based clinical service alongside SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.
* Ensure a person‑centred, empowering approach that puts pupils at the forefront and maintains a strong safeguarding culture.
