Management Accountant - FTC

Our client is a well-established international organisation with a significant operational footprint and a strong track record of growth. As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant to join their finance team on an fixed term basis.
This is a highly visible role that will see you partnering closely with both finance and operational stakeholders, providing meaningful insight to support decision-making across the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, improving processes, and ensuring the integrity of monthly management information.
* Key responsibilities will include:-Preparation and delivery of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and P&L reporting
* Producing detailed variance analysis with clear and concise commentary for senior stakeholders
* Ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks, issues and opportunities where appropriate
* Business partnering with operational teams to ensure financial performance is fully understood and accurately reflected
* Posting and reviewing journals, accruals and prepayments as part of the month-end process
* Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities across operational areas
* Continually reviewing existing processes and controls within the management accounts function, identifying opportunities for improvement and increased efficiency
* Assisting with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests from the wider business
The ideal candidate:
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA fully qualified
* Have previous experience within a fast-paced commercial environment
* Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial information clearly
* Be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills and confidence partnering with non-finance stakeholders
* Have a proactive approach with a desire to improve processes and add value to the wider finance function
* Be a strong team player who can build positive working relationships across both finance and operations
* Available on short notice period
