The Clinical Education Assurance Leads are responsible for assuring that supplier-delivered training is clinically robust, contractually compliant, and aligned with DWPs Core Training and Guidance Materials (CTGM), national CPD best practice, and regulatory standards (e.g. GMC, NMC, HCPC). The role involves monitoring and evaluating clinical education programmes, conducting audits, embedding clinical governance frameworks, and supporting inspection readiness through accurate documentation and evidence of learning. Acting as a strategic link between the Education and Clinical Governance teams, the postholder engages with internal and external stakeholders, including clinical educators, governance leads, and Health Education England, to observe training delivery, assess its impact on clinical decision-making, and identify trends in learning outcomes. They lead assurance reporting, contribute to policy development, and support continuous improvement across supplier organisations. Key deliverables include: Providing assurance to the Chief Medical Advisor and Clinical Governance Boards that education delivery aligns with policy intent and clinical standards to meet FAS contract requirements Supporting the development of feedback mechanisms and governance oversight. Design, implement, and lead robust assurance processes to monitor supplier compliance with the delivery of training and guidance materials. Maintain strong and proactive relationships with internal stakeholders, including the Clinical Governance Lead and Education Lead, to ensure alignment of training delivery with clinical and editorial standards. Improving the quality of health assessments through better-trained professionals. Work independently and collaboratively with external stakeholders, including education leads and clinical directors, to lead a structured programme of engagement. Collaborate closely with Contract Management Performance Delivery (CMPD) and Clinical Governance Leads to ensure suppliers meet their contractual obligations regarding the delivery of training and guidance. Collaborate with clinical data analysts, the Dispute Resolution Service, Customer Experience Directorate, Serious Case Panel, and legal teams to analyse complaints, mandatory reconsiderations, appeals, and legal cases. Develop and apply clear, evidence-based criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of training delivery by suppliers. Reducing complaints, mandatory reconsiderations, and appeals. Things you need to know Selection process details This vacancy is using Success Profiles (opens in a new window), and will assess your Behaviours and Experience. 1. Application & Sift As part of the application process you will be asked to complete a CV and Personal Statement. The CV is for reference and an initial eligibility check, candidates who do not meet the person specification (as noted above) will not proceed to sift. The CV will not be scored. A sift will be carried out using your 1250 word Personal Statement. Your personal statement needs to set out evidence of how your experience meets all the Experience Key Criteria set out below and not the published behaviours listed in this advert. We are not looking at how much time you have spent in a job, but rather how you have performed. Your Personal Statement must show demonstrable evidence of what you did, how you did it, and what outcome was achieved. This should include the impact of your approach and evidence of your ability to take forward different approaches in different circumstances. The standards detailed in the Experience Key Criteria are the minimum expectations for the role and only candidates with the strongest evidence will be invited to interview. In the event of a large number of applications, meeting the pass standard for the lead criteria Have excellent written communication skills will determine if the other criteria are scored. Candidates will have to meet the standard for all criteria to progress to interview. Your statement must not exceed 1250 words and you are advised to take advantage of the full word count. 2. Interview Stage If you are successful at the sift you will be invited to an in person interview. Interviews will be held face to face in our Holborn House office. The interview will comprise of Behaviour-Based questions, a task, and a 5 minute presentation. The guidance on Success Profiles explains these selection tools.
