We’re on the hunt for a meticulous and motivated Bookkeeper to join a growing business near Pwhelli, Gwynedd. You’ll be the go-to person for keeping the accounts in tip-top shape — from reconciling the bank statements to making sure the VAT returns are spot on.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Keeping accurate financial records using Sage 50 Accounts.
2. Processing invoices, receipts, and payments like a pro.
3. Managing accounts payable and receivable.
4. Setting up new customer and supplier accounts.
5. Performing credit checks and assisting with factoring.
6. Handling monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
7. Preparing VAT returns and submitting to HMRC.
8. Supporting payroll processing.
9. Assisting with management reports and liaising with accountants for year-end.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
10. Proven bookkeeping or finance experience.
11. Sage 50 Accounts know-how.
12. Solid understanding of UK accounting principles & VAT returns.
13. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
14. Friendly communication skills comfortable over the phone, via email, or face-to-face.
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
16. Small business experience, and familiar with BRCGS Standards would be an advantage.
This is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday 36.75 hours per week, offering a salary circa £27,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
