The Alliances team at Softcat drives strategic vendor success with sharp focus and collaborative expertise. They’re the architects of our vendor strategy, working seamlessly across functions to ensure we have the right alignments with the right vendors to support our technology proposition and maintain a market‑leading position.
As a Cisco Networking Product and Services Executive, you will be aligned to Cisco, building strong knowledge of their products and services and confidently articulating their value to both internal teams and customers. You will stay up to date with industry developments, maintain relevant sales‑ and technical certifications, and collaborate across the business to support customer needs and successfully deliver our vendor propositions.
Responsibilities
* Stay current with networking technologies and trends; maintain required certifications and articulate vendor value to internal teams and customers.
* Build strong relationships across Softcat and with vendors, supporting effective collaboration through regular office presence, meetings, and training sessions.
* Work closely with vendors and internal teams to identify customer opportunities and areas of growth, informed by market insights and customer needs.
* Engage with customers to understand their challenges and provide tailored, value‑led solutions.
* Support sales teams proactively by demonstrating vendor capabilities and ensuring they are well equipped to position products effectively.
* Collaborate with Commercial Enablement to create and curate content that supports vendor technologies and sales success.
Qualifications
* Interest in, or knowledge of, Cisco technology and a willingness to continue learning.
* Ability to build positive, effective relationships with a range of stakeholders.
* Motivation to achieve and maintain relevant sales and technical certifications, with support and development provided.
* Collaborative, proactive approach, enjoying working with others to achieve shared goals.
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and pay attention to detail.
