JOB SUMMARY
:
The Domestic Assistant is responsible for providing general cleaning services throughout Antrim Hospital. Previous cleaning experience is required to ensure a high standard of hygiene and safety.
KEY RESULT AREAS / MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Floor maintenance duties to include use of vacuum cleaners, buffing and floor scrubbing machines.
2. Cleaning all sanitary areas.
3. Cleaning of all furniture/fittings and general dusting duties, low- and high-level cleaning.
4. Cleaning of walls, windows, glass partitions and other periodic duties as required such as carpet cleaning.
5. The collection and removal of waste and replacement of waste sacks, hand towels, soaps, toilet rolls, etc.
6. Receipt and storage of cleaning materials.
7. Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Support Services Supervisor and General Manager Domestic Services Trustwide.
8. Observation of Trust Policies and Procedures relating to Domestic Services as instructed.
9. Removal and re-changing of bed screens and curtains.
