Who are you?
Do you hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and have previous experience working on HGV’s or have you completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry and enjoy getting your hands dirty?
Knowledge and Skills: Excellent diagnostic skills Proven HGV Level 3 technical qualifications or proven experience repairing and maintaining vehicles Driving license (HGV Class 1 would be an advantage, not essential)

What you will be doing
12. Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures and in a safe and responsible manner.
13. Ensure repairs are carried out in accordance with Volvo Standard Times using Volvo Special Tools where appropriate.
14. Assist in the fault diagnosis process. Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and with warranty material on completion of a repair.
15. Assist with Action Service Europe when required.
16. Work with the parts team to ensure the correct replacement parts are fitted to the vehicles.
17. Road test vehicle when required (if holder of HGV licence).
18. Assist with roadside breakdowns.
19. Ensure that the company time recording procedures are complied with and that job cards are completed accurately
20. Ensure that service sheets are completed as per Volvo instructions.
21. Ensure that all vehicle defects are reported to your workshop controller
22. Ensure that the workshop facilities, equipment and tools are kept clean, tidy and maintained, reflecting the Volvo Truck and Bus Centre image of an efficient and modern retail Dealer point.
23. Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when appropriate.
24. Support the development of any young trainees and apprentices
