AC Installation Engineer
Location: Buckingham
Salary: £42,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)
Reporting to: HVAC Operations Manager
Job Type: Permanent
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced AC Installation Engineer to join a growing HVAC team delivering high-quality installations across domestic, commercial, and industrial projects.
This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer with a strong installation background who can work independently, maintain high workmanship standards, and represent the business professionally on-site.
Key Responsibilities
* Install air conditioning systems including split, multi-split, VRV, and VRF systems
* Carry out first-fix and second-fix installations (pipework, brackets, containment, drainage)
* Assist with testing, commissioning, and system handovers
* Read and interpret technical drawings and site specifications
* Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
* Maintain clear communication with site teams and management regarding progress and issues
* Deliver clean, high-quality installations and maintain professional site conduct
Essential Requirements
* F-Gas Certification (mandatory)
* Proven experience in AC installation (not service-only)
* Strong experience with split and multi-split systems
* Ability to work independently on-site
* Good understanding of pipework, containment, and system setup
* Ability to read drawings or follow technical instructions
* Full UK driving licence
* Reliable, presentable, and professional
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience with VRV / VRF systems
* Exposure to heat pumps or wider HVAC systems
* Relevant qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
* Experience working across commercial and industrial projects
* Ability to lead small installations or support junior engineers
