Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting a Project Finance Officer for a large public sector organisation, playing a key role in driving efficiency, income optimisation and service improvement, with real influence on strategic decision making.
Your new role
Supporting the development and delivery of efficiency, cost improvement and income maximisation initiatives
Producing and interpreting complex financial analysis, benchmarking and value for money studies
Providing financial input to business cases, service redesign proposals and transformation programmes
Supporting elective care and waiting list initiatives through robust costing, modelling and monitoring
Working collaboratively with finance and non finance stakeholders to improve financial performance
Contributing to the development of resource utilisation strategies and financial frameworks
Supporting audit processes and implementing agreed recommendations
Producing high quality financial reports to support strategic and operational decision making
Deputising for senior finance colleagues when required and representing finance at internal and external meetings
What you'll need to succeed
Professionally qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years’ relevant post qualification experience
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise
Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide clear financial advice
