Our Graduate Development Programme is a structured two-year scheme designed to support your development at the start of your Jacobs career journey. Through blended learning, mentoring, progress reviews and networking, you will establish yourself across four focus areas: human skills, consulting skills, championing our strategy and your passions. The GDP lets you customise your learning journey to reflect your interests, career goals and technical skillset, creating a graduate experience unique to you. The programme is on-the-job, with learning experiences shaped by you and your manager and mentor.

About The Opportunity
Graduate Building Surveyor performs surveying work across a broad range of instructions, with a strong focus on commercial and infrastructure projects, providing exposure to large-scale project work. From the outset you’ll be supporting experienced surveyors; as the team grows, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility and progress your career within the practice.
You have basic knowledge of concepts, principles and theories in the subject area. You understand the role of the team/department and industry practice and standards.
To support the structural team in undertaking supervision of construction works for government or private projects. Under supervision, you perform basic aspects of surveying assignments, using prescribed methods and applying basic surveying principles.
We value collaboration and support hybrid working to balance Jacobs offices/projects with remote locations, enabling you to deliver your best work.
The business is committed to helping surveyors achieve chartership and progression. Within the team you will benefit from:

* Direct support from an APC assessor and interviewer, providing tailored preparation
* A structured approach to achieve chartered status at the earliest opportunity
The start date for this position is September 2026.

* Be working towards a relevant Degree or Master’s level qualification in Building Surveying
* A flexible self-starter who is keen to drive your career forward
* Adaptable to change, with a thirst for learning new things
* You must have the permanent right to work in the UK
