Job Title: Software Engineering Manager
Location: Cowes, Isle of Wight; Great Baddow, Chelmsford; or Portsmouth Broad Oak. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements are available; please speak to your recruiter about options for this role.
Salary: Up to £85,700 depending on skills and experience plus bonus scheme. Part-time and accruing hours available.

Purpose: Join a team responsible for delivering software engineering content for projects within the Future Radar sub-sector, ensuring cost, quality, timeliness and specification, and resolving engineering conflicts between software teams, systems and capabilities.
Responsibilities
* Management of a software-focused engineering programme or project with multiple activities, work packages, and software tools.
* Management and integration of large software engineering teams; leadership of software resources and delivery of packages of work/services, involving new products and/or complex upgrades, with interfaces to customers, suppliers or partners.
* Deliver software engineering content for projects within the Future Radar sub-sector, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations.
* Performance of engineering planning, management and reviews to ensure software is integrated, safe, compliant and delivered within cost, quality and schedule requirements.
Requirements
* Proven experience in the Software development lifecycle, processes and tools.
* Experience delivering complex software development projects with an understanding of project management.
* Proven ability to lead a team with engineering and software expertise.
* Engineering background, starting in software and progressing into management.
* Degree level qualification in computer science or software engineering, or relevant experience.
