Software QA & Test Engineer – Marshall Group

Right now, we need to strengthen our R&D team in Milton Keynes with a Software QA & Test Engineer.
What you'll do
* Ensure the quality of embedded software by developing and executing hands‑on and automated tests, gathering test data, and debugging issues in collaboration with other engineers.
Key responsibilities
* Design, develop, and execute test plans to ensure software quality.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand product and testing requirements.
* Identify and track software defects, ensuring they are clearly documented and resolved.
* Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing to validate software quality.
Required experience & skills
* 2+ years of hands‑on experience writing test plans, executing tests, and working in a team to debug embedded software or firmware.
* Familiarity with hardware–software integration.
* Proficiency in C programming language and Python.
* Experience setting up automated testing.
* Great communication skills and meticulous documentation.
