Role: Teaching Assistant
Location: Wessex Lodge School, Frome, Somerset BA11 4LA
Salary: £20,906.25 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
Start: October 2026

We are part of Outcomes First Group and operate a 4-Day Working Week (4DWW) trial where you can work one day less each week (or equivalent hours) while receiving full-time pay. 4DWW is subject to probation and is not a contractual benefit.
Responsibilities
* Connect directly with pupils, helping ensure they get the best from their education
* Prepare learning materials, run classroom activities, and provide hands-on support
* Support pupils’ emotional and physical needs and guide their learning journeys tailored to individual needs
* Work across classroom and outdoor settings, lead activities, supervise trips, and adapt to varied pupil requirements
* Engage in additional paid responsibilities across Outdoor Education, Farm, Horticulture, and Forest School

* Strong team player with collaboration and mutual support ethos
Qualifications
* English and Maths GCSE essential
* TA qualification desirable
* Full UK Driving Licence
