We’re on an exciting journey to transform how we manage and govern data. As part of this transformation, we’re looking for a Data Governance Manager to lead the implementation and evolution of our Data Governance Framework. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible impact on how data is defined, protected, and used across the organisation.
What will I be doing?
* Lead the rollout and maturity of the Data Governance Framework and associated tools.
* Collaborate with business and data teams to define data ownership, quality metrics, and lineage.
* Drive initiatives to improve data transparency, quality, and compliance.
* Act as a point of escalation for data governance, quality, and protection issues.
* Support 1st line Risk and Compliance activities for data systems.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
* Deputise for the Head of Data Governance & Management when required.
What do I need?
* Experience within Data Governance
* Strong understanding of data concepts (e.g. warehousing, analytics, BI).
* Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview or similar tools.
* Familiarity with data regulations in financial services.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Experience either line managing teams or coaching/mentoring others.
* A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong planning skills.
