What you will do
Manage a caseload of looked after children, ensuring statutory responsibilities are fulfilled in line with legislation and guidance.
Undertake comprehensive assessments, care planning, and permanency planning.
Work closely with children, young people, carers, and families to promote positive outcomes.
Participate in statutory reviews, court work, and multi-agency meetings.
Provide risk assessments and implement safeguarding measures where required.
Contribute to service improvement and uphold high standards of professional practice.
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
Significant post-qualifying experience within Children’s Services, particularly Looked After Children.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and safeguarding frameworks.
Ability to manage complex caseloads and court proceedings confidently.
Excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills.
