We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces within residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Responsibilities
* Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, or filling imperfections prior to painting or decorating
* Applying paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
* Mixing colours and matching shades to achieve desired effects
* Ensuring all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety
* Protecting furniture, fixtures, and flooring during work processes
* Communicating effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and requirements
* Managing tools and materials efficiently to minimise waste
* Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times during work activities
Requirements
* Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is preferred
* Valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between sites
* Good command of English language for effective communication with clients and team members
* Strong communication skills with the ability to understand client needs and explain processes clearly
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
* Attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure high-quality finishes
* Physical fitness to undertake manual tasks such as lifting equipment, climbing ladders, and working at heights
