Senior Charge Midwife Band 7, Labour Suite
Permanent Post, 34.02 hours/week
This is an opportunity for an experienced midwife to join our multidisciplinary team providing quality intrapartum care. You will be an exemplar of person-centred care. The successful post holder will be expected to demonstrate insight, understanding and mutual respect of women, their families and colleagues. You will provide clinical leadership to the midwifery team to ensure safe and effective care is delivered to every woman, every time. You will be responsible for managing and developing the performance of a small team based within the labour ward setting but may be required to provide care and support in other clinical areas across Tayside.
In NHS Tayside we are committed to continuous quality improvement and the successful applicant will be part of a team that supports change and service development, ensuring women receive a consistently high standard of care. You will play a key role in improving continuity of care for women experiencing complex pregnancy, testing and evaluating our team model of midwifery care. Applicants should have experience in antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this post.
