Our client, a highly respected Chambers-ranked law firm in Reading, is expanding its award-winning Employment department and is seeking a skilled Senior Associate to join the team.Why Apply?Market-leading employment practice working with both Claimants and Respondents£70,000-£85,000 + private healthcare + strong benefitsHigh-quality work, complex matters and immediate responsibilityGenuine hybrid working & supportive, friendly cultureExcellent career progression opportunitiesThe Role:You will handle a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment matters, acting for individuals and businesses across a wide range of sectors.Key Responsibilities:Advising clients (telephone, written and in-person) on day-to-day and strategic employment law issuesDrafting employment documentation, including contracts, policies, settlement agreementsPreparing claim and response forms, witness statements, legal submissions and evidence bundlesConducting negotiations on behalf of clientsAdvocacy at Employment Tribunal hearings (previous experience advantageous)Managing complex tribunal claims, often involving protected disclosures, discrimination and equal paySupporting clients with restructuring projects, TUPE transfers and workforce changesWorking collaboratively on larger team matters, including project management on client initiativesResponding to helpline queries promptly across areas such as contracts, policies, disciplinaries, grievances and data protectionProviding employment support on corporate transactionsParticipating in business development activities - seminars, workshops, networking and article writingEnsuring timely and accurate billing of filesDeveloping deep sector knowledge and maintaining genuine curiosity about clients' businesses, both commercially and technicallyAbout You:5+ PQE gained at a recognised London or regional firmStrong technical skills across the full spectrum of employment lawConfident advisor with excellent drafting, negotiation and communication abilitiesMinimum 2:1 degreeInterest in marketing and business development is an advantagePrevious tribunal and advocacy experience beneficial but not essentialWhat's On Offer:A rare opportunity to join a respected, progressive firm offering:First-rate workA close-knit and supportive teamExcellent salary and benefitsReal scope for long-term progressionSalary: £70,000-£85,000 DOELocation: Reading (Hybrid)For further information or a confidential discussion, please contact Gayle Woolf at G2 Legal.
