We are seeking skilled, dedicated, and accomplished Accredited Clinical Coders to join our established Clinical Coding Team at ESNEFT.
Candidates should have clinical coding experience across all specialties in an acute setting and a desire to further their career.
The department offers comprehensive training and has an established internal Clinical Coding Audit Program to support skill development.
You will need excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work as part of a team to deliver timely and accurate coded data to meet deadlines.
Full Home Working is available and can be discussed at interview.
* Abstract and analyze complex clinical information from patient records, translating it into coded format per National Standards, with a high level of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology knowledge.
* Enter encoded data into computer systems to meet statutory information and payment requirements.
* Work as part of a team across all specialties, with rotation between duties.
* Handle enquiries from hospital departments, locate source documents, and interpret reports.
* Analyze complex medical information from paper documents and computer systems.
* Ensure proper processing and tracking of patient records.
* Mentor and assist in educating less experienced coders.
* Be aware of wider patient administration systems.
* Ensure records are processed correctly and passed for remedial action when needed.
