We are seeking a highly motivated and experiencedSenior Shift Clerkto join our Customs Insights team in Dover. As a Senior Shift Clerk, you will play a crucial role in overseeing our customs clearance operations and ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
Shift pattern:4 on4 off(Day 1 & 2 0700 1900, Day 3 & 4 1900 0700)
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervising a shift team in the absence of the shift supervisor.
* Ensuring all tasks assigned to the shift team are completed in a compliant manner.
* Completing daily customs clearance work.
* Assisting customs clerks with paperwork completion.
* Processing amendments and correspondence to customs.
* Completing excise declarations.
* Supporting other operational duties as required.
What we're looking for:
* Minimum 2 years experience.
* In-depth knowledge of customs procedures and principles.
* Strong proficiency in Excel spreadsheets.
* Experience with customs clearance software.
* Excellent IT literacy.
* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
* Strong attention to detail and a conscientious approach.
* Team player with excellent communication skills.
* Problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
