The Role As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in leading a large, high-performing brigade within a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in maintaining exceptional culinary standards, driving consistency, mentoring junior chefs, and ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities Support the leadership and development of a large kitchen team
Maintain exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency
Lead service with confidence in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Train, mentor, and motivate junior members of the brigade
Ensure excellent kitchen organisation, cleanliness, and compliance
Assist with stock control, ordering, GP targets, and labour management
Work closely with senior management to deliver an outstanding guest experience
Uphold the standards and ethos of a modern French kitchen
About You Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef within premium restaurants
Strong leadership and people management skills
Passion for French cuisine and high-quality ingredients
Calm and organised under pressure
Quality-focused with exceptional attention to detail
Strong understanding of kitchen operations, HACCP, and health & safety
Ambitious, driven, and eager to develop within a world-class culinary environment
