About the role
The Front of House and Events Assistant will provide support at YouthAction events such as conferences and productions, to ensure smooth running, hospitality and health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Acting as first point of contact for visitors/audiences and completing the sign in procedure.
* Involvement in hospitality duties such as serving refreshments and showing visitors to their seats.
* Involvement in event preparation such as decorating rooms, setting up refreshment tables, preparing box office and preparing sign in sheets.
* Health and safety inspections. Walk around to ensure all aspects of health and safety are acceptable, these include fire extinguisher checks, high vis vests are available to fire stewards and pre event announcements.
* Fire seat duties (acting as 1 of 2 fire stewards during productions).
* Box office duties (handling bookings, handling cash and card payments).
* Ability to use initiative.
* Experience in a Hospitality or Front of House role.
* Applicants must be between 16 – 65 years of age and receiving a working age benefit.
* Applicants can get up to 25 hours a week for six months at the National Minimum Wage.
