Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in coffee preparation and customer service will ensure that each guest has an exceptional experience.
We are seeking candidates over the age of 18 for this role as there is an element of serving alcohol.
We have 2 roles to fill. The first is 33/36 hours a week and the second is 12/16 hours a week. Please specify which role you would prefer when applying.
We host 2 live music nights a month and offer private hire so you will need to be willing to work the occasional evening.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace, including equipment and utensils.
* Assist with food preparation, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
* Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
* Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
* Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
* Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and support one another during busy periods.
Requirements
* Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing orders.
* Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain high hygiene standards.
* Experience in food preparation is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
* Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* A friendly disposition with a willingness to help customers and team members alike.
* Must be available to work on the weekends
