Contract Type: Permanent
A Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor is required to join a major organisation based in the South East on a permanent basis. The Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor will join an established in-house legal team and handle a range of work of national significance.
The successful candidate will benefit from flexible working but must attend the office in the South East at least once a week.
This role is ideal for someone with proven experience managing and negotiating Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts, including performance monitoring, risk assessment, and stakeholder liaison across public and private sectors.
The candidate should have a strong understanding of PFI contract lifecycle management, especially contract handback, asset condition assessment, and legal and financial compliance.
Experience in construction law or public procurement is beneficial but not essential.
Key responsibilities include:
* Advising on engineering and construction matters related to large infrastructure projects
* Managing the lifecycle of PFI contracts
* Drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts
* Guiding on public procurement regulations and policies
* Handling legal matters, both contentious and non-contentious
Benefits include:
* Company & performance-related bonus
* Generous pension scheme (up to 11% employer contribution)
* Life assurance (4x salary)
* 25 days annual leave
This is a great opportunity for solicitors transitioning from the public sector, practice, or in-house roles, to work on some of the UK’s largest projects of national importance.
